It's a privately funded paid job. I think the kid is focusing on the professor because of his politics, not because of the specifics of the situation. When in America was it ever necessary to quit one's job to tun for office?

Who cares if it is a privately paid job. The point is he is ripping someone off not working. He probably gets a six figure income and the kid is documenting the guys 15 hour work week. I will tell you if my kid was going to that university and I was paying for their education, I would be VERY interested to know how much the University was paying him and I would raise hell about it. I have one child in college now and another who will be going next year it is damm expensive.
