I'm sorry, it just bothers me too much not to say anything.
I saw the first movie in this series, and this is what I got out of it: A group of spoiled brats are involuntarily subjected to a series of fantastic events, which they passively observe, offering no meaningful input or participation, and at the conclusion of which they have learned nothing, because they weren't challenged in any way. Nobody learns anything.
