Bless him for understanding.
I'm going through one of my periodic panic attacks about losing my parents. One of my Mum's friends is watching her husband die right in front of her eyes from something the doctors still can't quite diagnose. This man is younger than my Dad and her son is about my age.

It scares me so much.
Perhaps I won't feel like this when I've been living with them for a month - all I can say is I'm thankful for the chance to be closer to them for a time. And that I'll never have to look back with regret and worry that they didn't know how much I loved them.
