Merry Christmas!

A few days ago, a few friends and I were walking down the Ave (University Way). As we approached my appartement, a very drunk guy came up to us and asked "50 cent please?" to which I unthinkingly replied "No thank you" and kept walking.

He, however, turned around and asked "No Thank You!?! What the hell is that?! No Thank You!?!" and he continued to ask us for "Just fifty cent to make a phone call!".

We kept walking, and he walked with us, using a variety of requests. As we were walking, I pulled out my pockets to demonstrate that I didn't have any money. (Erm -- I realized as I was doing this that I had five dollars in one pocket, but I clenched that in the other hand). Eventually, at the end of the block, he gave up on asking us for 'fifty cent'.

After we were on the other side of the street, Josie bellowed cheerfully in his direction: "Maerry Christmas!" .
