Not free.
Your tax dollars paid for the library, the technology to distribute the book to you, indeed for the license to "loan" the "book" twenty-six times before they have to pay for another license. Not free. Not an entitlement. You paid for it.

What can I think of that is "free"... not a lot.
Our local library also has such a lending option, and the Kindles are in demand. It's a deal for anyone that might not afford a Kindle It's a deal for anyone that might want to buy a Kindle It's a deal for anyone that might want short term use of a Kindle It's a great deal for anyone that might want to read a book... on a Kindle |
