The first childhood pet I remember was named "White Kitty." They say they let me name it. I think the cat before it didn't even have a name.

I named our first cat. Smokey. Because she was grey and white.
I don't remember that either. Or that she used to ride on my shoulder. I found that out years later and it really touched me.
