I like it. He writes about a lot of angst he's experienced about death.

I don't really have much angst. Not for religious reasons, or anything like that. Just that death is nothing. You're alive, and then you're not. "Death" is a word that the living use to describe those who are gone. It's not something that anyone experiences. It doesn't actually exist There is only life.

I don't much like death because my experience with it has been that I miss my loved ones who are dead. And of course, I'm not ready for life to end yet. But death is literally nothing. And so it's nothing to fear. At least for me.

I don't remember a Kirk Israel. But looking back over his old posts, it's too bad he doesn't come around any more.
