I swear, the hottest food I've ever eaten has been African.
And I can eat curries (as in Indian dishes) hot enough to make me cry. Twice - going in and coming out. Not saying I enjoy them that hot, but I can get them down my neck if I've made the wrong choice in ordering. Lunch today was so bland. (ties in with Indian theme - haha) Supermarket white bread - bought because Mum wanted it as comfort food - toasted cheese sandwich. Okay, the cheese was Tickler, which is a rather nice mature (sharp) cheddar. But not my usual fare when I'm eating. Mum's was even blander. Egg & soldiers. I made mine and Dad's, but Mum made her lunch herself, as she doesn't trust me with eggs. She's right not to. Despite the complex dishes I can prepare, I've never been proud of my egg cooking abilities. And it's a bit like making tea anyway - everyone has a preference. I can't even cook eggs to my own preference, but if I've gone to the bother of cooking them I close my eyes and scoff them down anyway.
