Today's carry-over riddleku is

eight points in two rows
snugly fit to make a house
outnumber humans

Clue: they hurt your feet.

Underwater flight
Tuxedos on white carpet
Ave, Caesar!

Tight, red and shiny
creeping in the city night
spurting sticky goo

Eight thirty-four one
five fifty-five two thirteen
three one twenty-one

An eye in the sky
Irish eyes with bleeding hearts
textual ditto

... yes, we'll take that, although the exact answer is just U2 (the first line refers to the spy plane, the second to the band, the third to the text abbreviation). DING.

It is indeed the Fibonacci sequence, only jumbled up. I thought that would be easy. I guess I'm a nerd.

Calves ... legs, or baby cows?

Grain on top of grain remins me of a sesame seed bun, but we've had that.

Or could the second grain be a wooden cutting board, counter top or some such? Bread/dough on a breadboard?

Keep cool, or go off: sounds like some kind of food which must be kept in the fridge, but bread doesn't. Hmm.

Errm [wild stab] ... steak sandwich?
