The inch got his first playmobil set at about three, which I think was way too early. He instantly disassembled the ambulance, scattered all the tiny parts to the winds, repurposed all the life saving equipment into rockets, guns, lasers, jets and other generally loud things. Eventually, the stripped shell of the wheel-less ambulance was all that was left, although he often walks around with the flashing lights blinking in his hand as some sort of helicopter.

That toy was great in that it bcame 100s of new toys but was never once used as an ambulance.

San Diego Zoo was really nice as well, when I went in 1978 with a girl friend from college.

I took these two of some of my grandchildren at Christmas. I am having fun with a new lens, the Canon 85mm f1.2; a great portrait lens especially in low light. Older child is 7, the baby was 2 weeks old. I can't comment on my wife's age...

I forgot where these ones are on my hard drive. The first I call "2 Sarah's" and it's of my wife Sarah and our grand daughter of the same name. The next is of Sarah who just mastered the art of walking a week or so before. The last is of my grand daughter as she crashed while running in our back yard.

I think this girl is going to be a challenge for her parents when she is a teenager and the boys take note!

Thanks for looking. Damn, I love that new lens!

In the second photo, the child's head looks like it has been photoshopped in. I take Chris's word that it wasn't, but it is a good example of how things can look shopped that aren't.

Is that an actual ear piercing, or some kind of stick on?

Recently my 3 siblings and I had to get together to handle business after our father passed away. Since we all live apart far and wide (my brother lives in Taiwan) and we don't get together too often my wife suggested I get a portrait.

We were all barefoot so I decided to do a different type of portrait. So here it is and here is an explanation. From the top is my oldest sister (first child), just turned 60, always athletic and still runs every morning. Right is my brother who is 54 and does yoga. Bottom is sister #2 (2nd child), lives in Florida and likes walking on the beach.
Left is me (baby of the family), who has bent up toes on both feet, must be genetic as my index fingers also bend slightly towards the other 3 fingers.

I guess feet say a lot about people.

I'd like to take credit for this one but I technically can't. Mav took this one when we were playing around with the new camera up at Dad's place over the break.
