NONONONONONONONOoooooooo! Not at all.

I meant terms given to people who are either hot or (usually) not, have an explanation not immediately apparent and a humourous although derogatory meaning are usually given by men to women. Women tend to be more straightforward - i.e. I don't fancy him.

In England the word 'Chick' is multi functional. It's used as a way of describing a girl or woman, it's used as a term of endearment by adults with children and it's used as a general word of friendly address by some people, in some regions to both sexes.

using 'chick' for girl, is less common than using 'bird'.

We don't use 'bird' at all, except in the sense of 'flipping the,' which means something else entirely.

Chick over here is common when referring to females.

Chickee, Chickiebabe etc

Its used to be a bit derogatory, but its more widely accepted now as an endearment as such.

I always says "chicks" or "chickie babes", but that could be coz I am a bogan
