Black Friday: work (NOOOOoooo....)
Saturday: work
Sunday: work
Oh I am soooo sorry Choc- I used to work at a large retail store that opened at 6 am on Black Friday and there was always a crowd when the doors opened - WTF?? don't they have anything better to do?

Going to my mother-in-law's in North Carolina for a couple days. It's so boring there. Oh, well.

I'd rather stay home with my wife and kids and have a non-traditional feast. Did a huge salmon fillet baked in filo dough once. It was awesome. Leg of lamb another year. Yum. Turkey is alright, but I don't get excited about it.

Thanks for the sympathy, binky. Luckily for me, I work an afternoon shift on Black Friday, so I won't have to deal with the people who are outside before dawn rattling the doors. (I don't think I'll ever understand why people would rather spend the day jostling into strangers in stores, instead of hanging out with loved ones at home.)

I'm going to Taos to a bed and breakfast. They can cook and clean...I'm not ruining anyone's Thanksgiving this year! Woo- hoo 3 days off work in a row....Yowzers!! I already bought a stack of books and headed for a wood-burning kiva fireplace with hot cocoa (in my mind)!

There is no thanks giving holiday here and I'll not miss it too much.

It is nice to see everyone once or twice a year but most of the time we end up in a big argument over this dumbassed thing or another.

The foods are always great, that I'll miss.

Hope everyone has a great Tgiving day though.

we'll see. It takes about 5 hours to get to Santa Fe, which is why I've never made it to Taos. But thanks for the invite!

. . . tho I sorta invited myself!

We invited a family of 4 over and my brother, niece & her boyfriend will be coming over. So that will be about 12 of us. Should be fun.

Going to New Orleans and maybe eat some turkey gumbo. Then take an 8-day trip on the Mrs. Sippee thru the delta and then up the Atchafalaya.

Then it should only be a 4 hour drive to Taos. I think you'd love it...lots of tattoo people there. And dread-locks and piercings and......

Wait a darned minute, are you turning down the self-invite?!? Only on the cellar......

er . . . I think it takes about 6-7 hours to get to Taos, my dear. A loooong drive all by myself.
