Mine aren't prescription, but I have no fewer than 5 backup pairs in my closet. They're all identical--I am very picky about my sunglasses, so when I found the ones I liked, I bought them all. And then I have the on-the-spot backup pair that lives in my purse, for the time between when I break/lose my real ones and when I arrive back at my house. These are far from the ideal size/shape, but they are made of thick plastic and very sturdy, so they will never get broken just by being carried around.

Every single eyeglasses store at the closest mall to my house. I believe it was a Lenscrafters and a whatever the other main one is. You can choose from a small selection of frames, with a smaller selection of lens options, but nothing that I was interested in was available in less than 10 days. The second store told me the exact same thing and even called around to other locations with no luck.

Right now there is a commercial on TV about how a guy gets an assignment in Miami, so he goes and gets a pair of prescription sunglasses. BULLSHIT. They ought to let you know up front, plan TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE if you want to shell over your hard earned dollars for a product they claim to have available for purchase.

You can never have too many friends (real friends). Or rolling papers. Or screwdrivers.

You can never have too many--
