Seeing the occasional (or not so occasional) flamewar has been entertaining, to say the least. Some of the people who come in here "asking for it" are the best starters of these flamewars. I actually think we would lose something without that.

I was half joking--I have this weieiord* sense of humor. (But only half, it was in response to a weird week that turned out to be not nearly as weird as the one that followed.) I'm not interested in turning away anybody. (Except those that repeatedly prove they aren't capable of contributing intelligently.)

*homage to the "weird" spelling discussion

I think I know what you're feeling SD. I'm having trouble sifting through the volume of traffic right now. There were a couple discussions going that I wanted to follow up on, if only to smooth some ruffled feathers, but I don't want to wade around too much. The usual pattern for us, keeping a couple of new folks after the Dave/HB vetting process seems to work alright. It does make you wonder how big we can get without losing our community feel. Let the experiment continue...

Honeypot? No. It took me long enough to get to be friends with Cellar people as it is.

There is already an inner circle. If you want to know who's in, then grab a piece of paper and write down the names of all the Dwellars you can think of. I think that your list would be pretty accurate.

I've noticed that april has spurred a /lot/ of good conversation.

As an aside, I had to wade through six pages of Google to figure out what sycamore's idea of honeypot was (not that I didn't have a mostly accurate notion already
