Thinking of new ways to harm America doesn't necessarily mean you're going to implement them. You might just possibly have to figure out what the threats are before you can prevent someone else from implementing them.

If more people did educate themselves about what's really going on in the world then people like Bush wouldn't be in power.

Whether it was a joke or not doesn't change the fact that what Kerry said was a fact.

People who vote for Bush may know what's going on in the world, and that's the way they like it. Sad.

Well you never know. Maybe if the military get sick of being used as cannon fodder they may decide to instigate a coupe, then you'll all be glad you're armed and dangerous...cept those of you who don't own guns...then you'll just be dangerous, cause deadly force doesn't always come from a gun.

I agree with everything Kerry said and I applaud how he defended himself from the Republicans trying to accuse him of insulting the troops, but this photo is still funny so I'll share.

What's the average Americans IQ when you take out all the mentally deficient? Last I knew the army wasn't quite desperate enough to let the mentally retarded in while Burger King does.

Either that or pretty much everyone in the US is a bit below par.

Also, have a look at this wikipedia site.

Just be glad you're not from Equatorial Guinea!

Chris Matthews transcript

Isolated comment:
Quote:
You know education, you make the most of it, you study hard, do your homework, work hard, you do well. If you don‘t, you get stuck in Iraq.
More complete version including preface to comment:
Quote:
Yesterday, I was in the state of Texas. As you all know, President Bush used to live there. Now he lives in a state of denial, a state of deception. I‘m glad to be here with you now, I really, thank you. We‘re here to talk about education and I want to say something. You know education, you make the most of it, you study hard, do your homework, work hard, you do well. If you don‘t, you get stuck in Iraq.
I think he was joking. His preceding comment is a similar Bush-is-dum lefty line of the sort that did not win him the election two years ago.

US Army Lowers Recruiting Standards Due To Iraq

Lower standards help Army meet recruiting goal

Maybe it's just a small slip, but it's still a relaxation of the previous standards. How much further do you think it'll go?
