I don't know why I suddenly decided to be all offended by what was a comment made in jest. Perhaps it was a backwash of guilt for really being quite rude about a photo Lola was kind enough to share publicly.

I defend American eating habits and food so often myself, when people who have never even been to America make fun about all Americans being fat, lazy, stupid and eating crap food all day every day. It's so obviously not true, but the poor souls who trot it out are just dumb enough to believe it.

I still think that British cuisine can be held up against some of the finest in the world, but there was no reason for me to get pissy about it.

So my apologies to Lola, and to you Grav.
Hey, at least you get to keep your Great Offender title

Went to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had a salad, lobster mac-n-cheese, filet mignon, and a cocktail. Oh yeah....mash potato and strawberry shortcake.

One reason is that the camera is the same design, 10,000 times. Glasses are not like that, they're individually fitted, both for frames, which are a balance of cosmetic and functional, and the lenses which are all function, but not necessarily the same from one production unit to the next, unlike the camera.

Foot: Ahhhh....ok. Didn't mean to be sensitive about it.

We went out to eat after taking my nephew to watch The Minions. The dish was big, so I shared my dish with my sister. We all shared the banana pudding. Blah...who orders banana pudding at a restaurant? My sisters did.

Does the waitstaff ever give you the evil eye for splitting rather than each ordering their own?

No, and they're more than happy to let you do it. Some places will split the entree into two plates for you. However, some places WILL add an extra charge for that. Therefore, I usually ask if they charge extra for splitting the dish. If they say no, then I say okay. Otherwise, I would say, NO NEED! Hehehehe.....But yeah, we just ask for a plain plate and we split it ourselves.

Give Lola the stink-eye? They'd have to be made of stink to do that.
What Lola wants, Lola gets

Sharing dishes over here is considered quite reasonable and normal. But then I suppose tips make up a smaller part of the waiting staff's wages over here, so it's really none of their business how much you order or who eats it.

Mum and I would often share a starter because I had a smaller appetite and she wanted room to finish on a dessert.

Movie? Pasta? Is that part of your training regimen for the run of death?

Yes. I gotta de-stress, you know. But I workout this morning. Did Insanity, so I kinda did balance things a bit.
