VB programming class, 10th grade, after a serious session of Tribes but before an Age of Empires II match on the class network. My buddy said he found more people in the world with our peculiarly balanced blend of open-mindedness and cynicism, and they were on this one board. The rest is the rest.

Originally a link to Image of the day and then started reading the witty comments....Read around and found mostly civil commentary, interesting reading, on a large range of subjects.....Then found Quality images and was really impressed...Lurked a bit....Then found something that needed commentary......Joined....Then found out not all is civil.....
There are nice people, funny people, educated people, bullies and braggarts, smart and dumb, some without a clue, some just like the old dog that gets yelled at (Any attention is better than none at all) a real carnival with carnies and deep fried everything.....Just like any other community.

No not barbed at all and not aimed at anyone. I don't think anyone is a pretentious snob. If you read my prior post I was told my agers that this place was such and since AG thought I was a pretentious snob and worse I instantly liked the place.

Sky *grins* my apologies. I had edited that away before you submitted your post. I should have realised it wouldn't be barbed, given that it was you. But I've spent a considerable portion of this evening interacting with people who'd happily put a knife in my back and gve me their most gracious and sincere smile as they did. I haven't quite put down my guard from the night's political 'games'.

I hope it isn't your workplace! If it it then it must be something in the air because people are acting wierd here too. If it's the internet I have no words of wisdom.

So what political games? I know you are involved in politics but I am not sure if you are meaning that literally or as a figure of speach. Oh we say,
'the politics of the workplace' but here it just might mean shenanigans.

I've been lurking over on the image of the day part of the site for as long as I can remember being on the internet, so I've no idea how many years I've browsed the cellar, nor how I found it originally (I doubt it was by googling "whale penis" but one never knows) I tried to join back in December to finally post something over here in the forums but my email had the hiccups or something and I didn't actually get to post anything...until now.
