we're on a roll now going perfect over the past 3 days.
saunders pitched a gem as the angels beat the a's 5-2.

we've got to break perfection, so i'll post a few in hope that we'll lose one

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

chicago cubs vs san fransisco giants
marshall - lincecum

when it comes to baseball, i know my shit.... i watch, very closely, with an open mind.
what i saw from lincecum in his last game, the movement, everything, is about as perfect as a pitcher can get.
lincecum is the true elite of this game at this time.
yes the cubs are superior and at home, but you'd have to be out of your mind to bet against this guy knowing what i know.

bet on the san fransisco giants

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

florida marlins vs cincinnati reds

volstad - volquez

this is a hitters park, but i doubt that florida will be able to hit against volquez after his last outing.
volquez is superior, the reds are a better team, and at home.

bet on the cincinnati reds

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

chicago black hawks vs vancouver canucks

series tied 1-1

chicago scores at will against this mediocre team with their mediocre goalie.
vancouver is fortunate to be present at this time.

bet on the chicago black hawks

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

anaheim ducks vs detroit red wings
series tied 1-1

i can't imagine how detroit can win this series, they are out-matched.

bet on the anaheim ducks

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

we're still on a pretty good roll here, winning 8 of our last 9.
the ducks beat the red wings 2-1.
the canucks got home ice back, beating chicago 3-1.
volquez shut out florida allowing only 3 hits in 8 innings, recording 7 k's as the reds beat the marlins 7-0.
the giants beat the cubs in chicago 6-2, as lincecum allowed only 4 hits recording 7 k's.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

colorado rockies vs san fransisco giants
jimenez - johnson

both pitchers are coming off good outings.
both line-ups are under par.

bet on the under

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

carolina hurricanes vs boston bruins
series tied 1-1

the bruins had to lose 1 of the first 4 games to bring it home for game 5.
these teams are leagues apart.

bet on the boston bruins

Another perfect day as the blackhawks beat the Canucks 4-2.
Saunders pitched a complete game shut-out, as the Angels won 1-0.
The Rays beat up on the Red Sox 14-5 .

Cincinnati Reds vs St. Louis Cardinals

The Reds look to win their 4th in a row, and sweep the Cardinals.
Volquez can do it.

Bet on the Cincinnati Reds

LA Dodgers vs SF Giants

Lincecum is the best pitcher in the game.

Bet on the SF Giants

both game were close, the reds lost, but the giants won.
good news for the reds, votto is back from the flu.
he came in as a pinch hitter and hit a home run.
the man is a phenomena.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

pittsburgh penguins vs washington capitals
penguins lead series 3-2

the season has ended for the penguins.
gonchar is their best player, and he's out.

bet on the washington capitals

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

chicago blackhawks vs vancouver canucks
chicago leads series 3-2

the canucks are not only going to be eliminated here, but its time to rebuild.
if they make the right moves, they'll be back in the play-offs in 5-6 years from now.
bye bye.

bet on the chicago blackhawks

guess what... richmond got beat up, suprise suprise, lol.
he couldn't even complete the 2nd inning.
i can't believe how people can believe in this blue jays team, when there are supergiants like the rays and yankees in the same division.
its like.
to give you a better picture of what kind of differences exist between the rays yankees and jays, i'll use international soccer.
the comparison is not for day to day matches, but on the actual pennant race.
the rays would be italy
the yankees would be brazil
the blue jays would be canada
i mean, i would be honoured that canada played against these superpowers, but i would need to be realistic.
reality in the american league east does not show the blue jays in any pennant race this season.
you can dream about canada winning the world cup in soccer, but its not going to happen.
wake up torontonians.

i'm not really suprised that the penguins advanced.
the capitals don't have much on the defensive side read signature.
it really dosen't matter, as either team would lose against the superior bruins.
when it comes down to it, this is a physical game.
if the boston bruins win tonight, they be in the stanley cup final.

cueto continues to impress recording another win, placing the cincinnati reds in 1st place in the national league central!
i did mention something about the reds before the start of the season
Quote:
the cincinatti reds are probably gonna be the most improved team in baseball.
volquez is of the absolute elite pitchers in the game.
arroyo and harang can both win.
cueto and bailey are up and coming.
they hold one of the absolute elite closers in the game f.cordero.
their bullpen can certainly pick them up with weathers picking up the 8th inning.
some would say that their bats aren't that good, but i can argue that by comparing it to the rest of teams in this division [minus the cubs]
the reds are 20-14 so far.
votto is batting .374
lead off man, taveras, is batting .500 over the past 6 games
their power man bruce, has 10 home-runs already.
phillips is back on track doing as he's expected.
this team will not be cooling down anytime soon.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

toronto blue jays vs ny yankees
tallet - sabathia

i pretty much covered this game at the top of this post.
add to that the sabathia vs nobody factor.
but then again, its always going to be, a nobody factor with the blue jays, unless halladay's pitching.

bet on the ny yankees

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

boston bruins vs carolina hurricanes
series tied 3-3

what are we even talking about here

bet on the boston bruins

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

detroit red wings vs anaheim ducks
series tied 3-3

this truly is coming down to stamina.
the ducks in fact, have the edge.
the ducks have the greatest stamina in the league.
plus, they're punishers.
this is a physical game.
games like this, the refs let them play.
both the bruins above, and the ducks have the edge in that very important department over their opponents.
how suprised will you be when the ducks come away with a 1 goal win?

bet on the anaheim ducks

no suprise at all in toronto, as the yankees win.
plese don't misunderstand me.
the only reason that i'm pointing at the blue jays, is because the canadian media are setting torontonians up for a huge disapointment again.
i feel that i'm obligated to inform people of the true reality.
those who truly know this sport, know very well that the blue jays cannot contend for a wild card spot, let alone this division.
the blue jays are what they are, a small time frame of form, against non-divisional opponents isn't gonna change what the blue jays are.
the remander of the season will have the blue jays playing the majority of their games against the tampa bay rays, new york yankees, and boston red sox.
the blue jays have too many holes, and their form will be surpased by these superior teams who will slowly come in form as the season progresses.

the nhl didn't go so well today, as both the ducks and the bruins got eliminated.
i remain suprised at the carolina result, yet, kinda happy for the blackhawks, who can dominate against the wings in the western conference final.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

texas rangers vs la angels
millwood - saunders

these rangers bats don't fair up that well against the kind of pitcher that saunders is.
the angels should be able to generate some runs against millwood.

bet on the la angels

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

san fransisco giants vs ny mets
lincecum - hernandez

hernandez has not shown that he belongs in this rotation.
lincecum, in this park, should have incredible success, despite facing this very good line-up.

bet on the san fransisco giants

i usually avoid picking hockey or baseball games, as high percentages a hard to get.
all the experts getting paid to write are mostly under 60 percent, while loads of them are not even par.
we're 24-11 so far this month, picking mostly underdogs.
overall, baseball is looking pretty good on our long term bets.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

san diego padres vs cincinnati reds
geer - volquez

volquez is coming off two 8 inning shut-out over his last 3 games.
i expect him to get another here in this friendly pitcher park against this under par line-up.
on the other side, the reds are the kind of team that would do well in this kind of park.
this is my base for today.

bet on the cincinnati reds

i've managed to get some money down on jimenez start for colorado today, but i guess its a little late for this place.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

texas rangers vs la angels
feldman - weaver

i've been giving jered's starts since the start of the season.
he's holding a 2.45 era and a 0.94 w.hi.p
i can't see those numbers changing much here.

bet on the la angels

we need to get back on track here.
i'll give you the pick in tonights nhl game, the baseball picks are for tommorow tuesday

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

pittsburgh penguins vs carolina hurricanes

gonchar will be key in the penguins chanced of making it to the stanley cup.
he won't play today, and if he does, it will be like he's not playing.
if the canes are gonna steal one at the igloo, this is the one.
it pays well.

bet on the carolina hurricanes

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

cincinnati reds vs philadelphia phillies
cueto - hamels

despite both line-ups being potent, these two starters are of the absolute elite.

bet on the under

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

atlanta braves vs colorado rockies

jurjjens - hammel

jurrjens just keeps pitching gems.
atlanta is a pitcher friendly park and the rockies have a weak line-up.

bet on the atlanta braves

The Blue Jays will get their 5th loss in a row against Lowe.

Bet on the Atlanta Braves

Torontonians are slowly waking up to the reality that their baseball team sucks.
The one and only reason why i've been stressing that fact so strongly, is because the canadian media is doing the opposite by calling this hugely under par team, play-off bound.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Atlanta Braves vs Toronto Blue Jays
Jurjjens - Richmond

There is no emotion attached to this.
The Braves are not some amazing team that they should go around sweeping teams, its just that the blue jays are truly at the pit of the major leagues.
A tiny glimpse of batting form will not change the reality that the jays bats are not that good.
Whats even worse, is their non-existant pitching staff.
Its time to rebuild guys.

Bet on the Atlanta Braves

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

in case i didn't mention it, this will be the jays 6th loss in a row.

WHIP, I haven't been around for a while, but it appears your nemeses have abandoned us. Did you have them killed?

its good to see you girl, welcome back.

things are not looking good for our team
the redskins have set a whole new level of defence for our division, and i'm sad to say that the play-offs are unattainable for the eagles.

as for your question, i'm afraid i can't answer that

Alrightly then, I'll refrain from adding Eagles players to my FF teams--but I'll still cheer them every Sunday!

I still have a little place in my heart for the Skins, though, having lived in DC for almost 20 years. Don't hate me for that...
