One of my cow orkers made a very lame plane the other day. It flew about 2 inches before nose planting. The crash was so bad it should have burst into open flame. I refolded her plane and flew it the length of the office. She has a three year old daughter. These skills must be passed on to the next generation!.

Which one?

The finished Bulldog Dart. This flies better when thrown at lower speeds. Your tendency is to launch it, but the heavy nose will just fly it into the ground. Give it a softer throw and you’ll have better luck.

The finished Harrier. It has cool pointed wings and has great stability because of the triangle on the bottom.

The finished Hammer. This bad boy flies like a dream.

My Dad used to make us Harriers.
I made them for the children at school on rainy-day lunchtimes. Never ever flew as well as the ones he made me though.

Slightly off topic, but I saw Crowded House at the Royal Albert Hall. Neil Finn encouraged the people up in the top tiers to use the flyers [printed adverts if the term is confusing/ does not translate] left on their seats to make paper aeroplanes and fly them down to the stage.

It was wonderful. Although having paid very good money to sit in the Stalls I was a bit narked when they continued to fly during a very moving song which had previously always made me cry. Hard to cry when people around you are applauding successful flights...

When I get my time machine working I will take Classic's amazing stunt plane with me and amaze the band so much they adopt me and take me on the rest of their tour as a mascot.

My experience with musicians tells me a paper airplane is not the way to a bands uh... heart.

The RAH is flipping enormous. A perfect venue for paper planes. Even blinded by the lights you'd see the few that made it as they slowly dropped at the end of their flight.
I can see why it appealed to his sense of fun.

Don't imagine it as The Blues Brother singing Rawhide, or even a ticker tape parade; more like throwing rose petals in the Coliseum.
