The Cellar: The game?
So, I have this software sitting on my computer that allows me to make simple games that are actually pretty fun to mess around with during coffee breaks.
They can be pretty engaging, too - enough so that you could give it a decent story. Would there be an interest in making up a story with some of the dwellars in it? What would you want in it?

SG is the cellar writer -I remember lusty thighs or similar. Where is she, by the way? I'm a little concerned...

And Dana is all quiet too ...
OMG! There has been a zombie attack in Britain, and the hordes are chewing through the data cables!

There's limited and completely disappearing.......I hope she hasn't completely fallen out with HM
[/jonesing for SG] Dana needed to keep her head down for a while, but SG said they'd been in contact and she was fine. Come back, ladies! Don't abandon me to all these people with weird accents......

Can you make 3d type games? Do you have that sort of gaming software? I had a copy in 2004 but cant remember what the name is. It's a game engine that cost about $150 that models can be inserted into to create simple games. Here is the link to the software that I use. This isn't exactly what you were originally talking about with your game but when I saw that you are in school for graphic arts I had the idea to possibly collaborate on something. Here's a model I've been working on, a 1940s caboose. It's about half way done. Much of the parts are removed just to see inside so it's much more complete than appears but still much work to go. When it's done a clip will be made walking around the caboose showing the features. All the doors are jointed and move so it should be almost like someone walking through this old caboose. I'd love to do something with a cellar theme and have thought about it without coming up with any definite concept. People here like custom cellar.org creative sorta stuff so I'm guessing that making a cellar "game" would be possible. Last edited by slang; 12-18-2007 at 04:32 PM. |

Ok, here's the game engine that I was talking about. It's not bad for simple games.
Check it out. 3dGame studio. Is that the software that you have there Mockingbird? I can make and translate the models into a variety of other formats. Someone else can do the programming. Even just an interactive that might have some type of visual representation instead of text description of different areas. Ever feel like you're talking to yourself? |

No, nothing so advanced as that, I'm afraid. Although a few years back a friend and I (my current roommate, actually) bought a copy of the tourque engine for fps games. We got fairly good with it.
This is a small little program that anyone can learn to mess with and create small puzzle games or just relaxing environments to keep notes to yourself in or something. You can download it and the other games that the author of it has made here.
