Me, myself, and Ipod

1) has anyone successfully managed more than one device? There are a few ways to do it, and they all seem cumbersome to me

2) There's weird shit on there that shouldn't be on there! I've pretty much stopped downloading music of the 'net, because I'm wary of computer problems, but it still happens! Music I've never heard of, from artists and albums I don't have. Why? How?

Do you have ticked *manage device manually* or whatever is says?

I have 2 iPods and never have a problem, one is called Blue iPod and one is called Fat iPod....the naming of iPods is very technical yanno.

I tried that--wasn't very successful. Obviously it's because I'm a dumbass, but my manual device didn't get what I wanted on there. My Ipod book also says you can create a separate library for separate devices, but you have to catch it when you first open Itunes. or something.

I do everything manually because I have a lot of music & other files sitting in itunes on my computer that I don't want on my ipod.

I think I now have officially every Ipod accessory possible. I can listen to my Ipods (all 3!) in the car, in the water, at home, at work, wake to it, work out to it . . .

somebody stop me!

I load 3 with no problems. Mine, Mrs L, and work.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to move my itunes library from my PC to the external HD I bought. Ideas?

I successfully moved my library once, following a stupid series of steps found in the Help file. It was very long and involved, but ultimately it did work.
