What are your regular Internet haunts?
I thought it might be interesting to see where other Cellarites spend a bunch of their online time regularly (naturally besides the Cellar). I don't frequent as many sites as I used to because their quality has fallen off recently, and I thought this might be a good way to rejuvinate the bookmarks file. Here's my (now pretty short) list:
The James Lileks Bleat A writer/columnist with a very interesting sense of humor. His site is full of cool vintage imagery and interesting writing. Also see the link to his Backfence newspaper aricle, also read-worthy. Dave Barry If you don't know who Dave Barry is, I don't know how to finish this sentence. Slashdot I rarely put on the hip-waders and trudge through the Slashdot comments anymore, but they're still a good source for tech news. FARK.com Best. News. Site. Ever. Happy Tree Friends Damn funny animated shorts. Not for the weak of stomach or PETA-inclined. Yahoo! "Oddly Enough " news Unusual news items. Often funny, occasionally striking. Astronomy Picture of the Day Everyone here should know this one. ...and that's pretty much it. I notice now that the Cellar is the only message board I bother posting to anymore, it's hard to find one worth the effort these days. Anyone else?

Click every day to feed rescued animals, and it doesn't cost me a dime.
Sinfest Comic strip for adults. Definitely safe for work. Tasteful nudes Definitely NOT safe for work. Bacon Funny pictures and some jokes. SFW Everlasting Blort Bizarre shit. Safe for work but some of the links may not be. National Geographic IotD SFW Day By Day A great comic strip that UT recommended. SFW Earth Science IotD SFW That's enough for now but don't forget the first link, everyday. Please.

http://www.fark.com for sometimes great, always interesting news.
http://www.theonion.com for decent humor http://www.bbspot.com for tech humor http://www.timesonline.co.uk/ for international news http://www.nytimes.com for all the news that fits. thanks xoxoxobruce for the animal rescue site. we just adopted a black lab last weekend. We lost and adopted Austrialian Shepard mix to leukemia recently and this lab was heading for the pound. He has a mild case of heart worms and would most likely be put down for that but he is perfectly curable and a wonderful addition to our family.
