I don't know if this made the news anywhere else, but in the National Zoo, which is located in Rock Creek Park, a confused young deer jumped into the lion pit. The lions played with it a little bit, and zookeepers ended up having to euthanize the deer after they got the situation under control because it was hurt so bad.
