Vinnie, may people agree, is the sickest (in the way the kids mean this) drummer out there, to this day. Sight-reading, while alternately using his "free" hands to eat a plate of sushi, flip pages, and push his glasses up his nose. Everyone in the room (I think Zappa, Steve Vai, and maybe Bozzio) were simply disgusted. He is, like, too good to be human.

I know. It's how I process pain and sorrow, unfortunately. Resisting the pain only intensifies it. Embracing it takes away its power. Owning it puts you in charge.

Then there's trying to make sense of it all, while knowing that can't be done, and learning to accept uncertainty, embrace it, and then own it as well.

At least that's the goal. The leap from the metaphorical "Hey you kids get off my goddamn lawn!" to "Let's go out on the lawn together." And if you are very fortunate it's all lawn, all you, all them.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you shouldn't have posted the videos. They're great. I understand what you mean and to a large degree I do that too. I just need to take this a bit at a time; go out on that lawn for awhile but come back inside at times for a break. And so on.
