That sounds like Ponderosa Pine. The ones in Colorado have 2 or 3 needles per bundle and the needles are 3 to 6 inches long. The bark is thick and smells of vanilla. We have about 50 in our yard, along with a few Douglas-fir and about a dozen aspen.

There are beautiful stands of Ponderosa east of the mountains.. Pics maybe later. The bark on this on is the right shape but definitely thinner. Everything else matches. It is very fast growing. We planted it in the yard when we moved in, now it's the biggest tree on the property.

Definately a saw blade. The picture looks a bit distorted which makes it appear convex. The tips are typical of that seen on a diamond tipped blade used for stone. May be from a rock quary because it looks huge.

Not stone, a sawmill. That dark staining, that's been mostly buffed off when it was reconditioned (teeth replaced), is from wood sap.

Thanks razz!

Hey, don't you hate it when someone uses one of your jokes for their own purposes and gives no credit? [/snide remark]

Yes, it's a blade from a sawmill. xoBruce wins it. Here's one with my foot for perspective:

Well hell, that's not actual size either, HLJ. Is your eye calibrated? Are you using "man-inches?"

Don't worry, Labrat's ass is so hot it could start it's own fire. You can't burn something that hot.

I had my lens on backward.

The picture was reflected off of a space mirror.

I have very tiny feet.

Man-inches?
