This is getting closer...
 I think I'll just put the 8 on the face of the box. Making the assumption that the mailman knows what street he's on... I've joined some lovely book matched flamed maple that I can mount kind of like a plaque, once I rout the edge...  If I center the 8...  Sanding and staining it red in a tasteful kind of way.... Maybe she'll let me hang it out front near the door...

That looks really good.
Did you find yourself reaching for all kinds of different tools to figure out which ones would work best? I'm impressed at how flat it is in the center of the circles. |
