Yep, a little Wag the Dog action going on!

I don't agree, W has pushed Bin Laden into the background for some time. al-Qaeda gets less play, too. It's been more generic, insurgents & terrorists, those that hate freedom, and recently.... Radical Islamics.

He doesn't want to get too specific about who the enemy is, for fear someone might declare the war on terror, over.

The other plus to Bush's lack of specificity is that it keeps the entire Muslim world in a bad mood, so little Arab kids can grow up to be just like Daddy and go blow things up. Its a nice psychological mind game designed to keep both sides at each other's throats. Crafty, eh? Cheney must have thought that one up for Jr.

I don't think it's just Bush making little Arab children want to grow up to become human bombs.
They've hated us for ever and ever and ever and ever...and ever.

GORDON DUFF: CIA HINTS, BIN LADEN DEAD SINCE “EARLY 2000′s”

Quote:
This week, CIA director Leon Panetta, admitted there has been no information on Osama bin Laden’s whereabouts since “the early 2000′s.” During briefings with the directors of Paksitan’s information and intelligence agencies it was confirmed that Osama bin Laden had been killed, as stated by Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, in 2001. “Informed sources,” senior Pakistani commanders who worked with the CIA and bin Laden against the Soviets back in the 1980s, had confirmed Osama bin Laden’s death, as reported in the mainstream Islamic news, as having occurred on December 15, 2001. Confirmations this week by CIA Director Panetta that Al Qaeda strength is negligible is preparation for a accompanying “sea change” in the US approach toward ending the conflict in Afghanistan.

For years, General McChrystal, whose recent resignation for “foot in the mouth disease” ignored the facts of Afghanistan, hatred by Afghani’s of Karzai, massive corruption, huge US payoffs to the Taliban and involvement by everyone around him in the drug cartel led by his friends in the Northern Alliance and “Karzai Brothers Incorporated.” His only military success, the Marjeh operation, turned out to be one of the worst military failures in American histroy, attacking an lightly populated area, misrepresented as a huge enemy stronghold and still not being able to hold onto even that.

America awaits General Stanley McChrystal, the famed “bin Laden hunter,” waiting to see what right wing extremist group or defense contractor opens its checkbook first, thanking him for his years of extremely unsuccessful but “oh so profitable” service. He will then spend his life, or the remainder of it, playing golf at GOP functions and whining about how he was betrayed and kept from “winning the war in Vietnam” or was it Afghanistan? Did he ever really know the difference?

merica has known for certain, no doubt, that Osama bin Laden has been dead yet over 300 Americas have lost their lives looking for him since then, all to perpetuate a lie, a scam to play election games with, scare small children and play on the fears of the weak minded.

Add the 5000 dead, following Colin Powell’s fairly tales about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and the hundreds of thousands of Americans whose lives have been destroyed, million of lives in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and you have a tragedy of epic proportions, all perpetrated for personal gain, all nothing but a massive fraud.

I don't pretend to know about this stuff, but, some of that article comes across a little 'bullshit'-ish.

But, that's just my opinion, and that ain't worth much.

Ask anybody.

The bottom line is that it is not important if he is dead or not. The WOT is not about Bin Laden.

So they have successfully got you to forget why we are at war. They got you to think "Mission Accomplished" had a purpose.

All these wars are extremists using politics for an extremist agenda. Enemy #1 is bin Laden. Always was where people are not brainwashed by the politics. Enemy #2 are people who protect him - Al Qaeda. Which never existed in Iraq according to those not brainwashed by propaganda.

So why did America all but surrender in Afghanistan to the Taliban? The political agenda said surrender was OK as long as we attacked someone who was never a threat - Saddam. It is called brainwashing. And it works best on people who deny it existed. Those most easily brainwashed could be convinced that Saddam had WMDs and was conspiring to attack America. Those who think illogically are easily convinced bin Laden should be forgiven - as the TheMercenary has just done. WOT is how propaganda gets one to forgive bin Laden.

If true, it does answer your question though, does it not?
