That's part of what I like about it.

The house next to us just went up for sale. The market has definitely slowed down, and the high prices are nutty. The asking price for the house next door, smaller than ours, is 3X+ what we paid in 1998. As is the trend in the neighborhood, houses are being bought and turned into rentals for the nearby University. Big $ for landlords, so our land is still a good investment.
But its like we can see the end to our time living here. We used to think we'd stay in this house for a long long time. But it has a seeable end, we'll probably last through 2010... Wonder what will be next? |

I fully expect the median price of a home in California to drop by $100,000 or more.

Hmmmmm. Recently toyed with in discussion: Chicago, Boston, Montreal, London....But I'm back in part time school again, so it would be a good 4 years. And there would probably be some combination of food-loving, non-hip musician types in the mix.
I cant see California- but I've learned to never say never (land) |

![]() I notice a LOT of "FOR SALE" and "FOR RENT" signs in the town I'll soon be leaving here on Colorado's Front Range. In what amounts to a three block area, there are two houses for sale, and 4 for rent. Unsual here. |
