I've already got a wonderful Ibanez for the heavy stuff, so I'm good there...

I've decided...

Fuck the guitar.

I'm keeping my money just in case the parents decide they dont want to send me home for christmas.

Jan. 7th is me and my girl's 2-year, and the tenth is her sweet sixteen, and I HAVE to be there for that.

Sounds like you just had a bad case of the dreaded gas: Gear Aquisition Syndrome.

Yeah, I've decided on the Nashville Deluxe Power Telecaster. Now the question is whether to wait until after christmas... If I keep saving, I can probably get enough for a plane ticket to go home after christmas (cause my 2-year anniversary is jan. 7th, and her birthday is the tenth), just in case that isnt what i get for christmas.

If I DO get that for christmas, then I'll buy the tele.

Well.

I ordered the tele through the local guitar shop - they said a wait of three months or so.

It's been five.

So fuck that bitch, I've decided I'm going for this baby:

...Well, not that one exactly. I'm going to get a DC135, S-S-H, with twinblades in place of single-coils, with that paint job, coil splitter for the humbucker, on/off switches instead of 5-way, and abalone inlays on a rosewood neck.

$980.50.

Niiice.

I'm also debating getting this colour instead:

Dude...how'd you get from a Tele to a Carvin? Not a lot in common, sonically.

Definitely get the purple, though. Looks like a great axe.

The purple will sound better, but the red will play faster.

I got from Tele to Carvin cause my price range went up.

I've wanted a custom shop Carvin since before I ever got a guitar.

If I knew how to play a guitar I would want it to start smoking when I played it.

carvins rock.. my fingers won't allow me to play on such a small neck tho... if you need an amp look into behringer, they make some solid equipment that is also geared towards the 'value conscious' among us, I have my marshall 1/2 stack, johnson combo and fender twin.. so I'm amp ready.. although what I really want is a mesa-boogie or an orange... or an older park.. well what I really want is a jcm 800 75 watt tube head..

hey mrnoodle! long time no see!
