I will not include Simon & Garfunkel on a list of guilty pleasures, I am proud to like them. Mmm-Bop - Hanson It's All About You - McFly The Ketchup Song - Las Ketchup 99 Red Balloons - Nena Gold - Spandau Ballet Calling Baton Rouge - Garth Brooks Catholic Girls - Billy Joel Wannabe - Spice Girls Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous - Good Charlotte Dontcha - Pussy Cat Dolls Birdhouse in your Soul - They Might be Giants Blister in the Sun - Violent Femmes Some of the above are great songs in my opinion. But I do get stick for liking them.

The Monkees were one of the all time great pop bands. And no surprise, that, considering that Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart and Neil Diamond wrote most their big hits.
Okay, their actual genesis may have been screwy, but the music that was produced under the name "The Monkees" is damn good stuff.

I thought of a guilty song on the way to work today:
Genie in a Bottle. Can't help but dance to that one.

According to my friend Mike, who is a ridiculously rich font of pop culture knowledge, Paul Williams did indeed pen some of the Monkee's songs...and you are correct about Carole King, too. Harry Nilsson I did not know about...any idea which songs?
