LJ you ARE smart but you don't have good instincts. You can be mean which blocks clear thinking. You run by emotion and take shots in the dark until something sticks you run with it and hammer it into the ground until there is nothing left. You have too many passions to be very objective. This is something anyone can see. ( nothing personal)

I on the other hand am not very smart but I am very empathic. Believe me. This guy is calm. He is rattling your cages for fun. I know.

What Sky said. LJ doesn't get Merc's jokes -- any of them.

I'd also dose mama-cat with an anti-flea like Advantage or Ultimate, unless that's contraindicated for nursing momcats. If the fleas hit momcat first, they're too messed up to get the kittens.

True dat.

We use stuff from the vet. I would avoid over the counter stuff, most of it is too strong for kittens. Remember, you have to treat the house and yard at the same time you treat the pets, or you will be doing nothing.

when we got our kittens they were covered with fleas (to the point they were bloody to the touch.. thusly why we couldn't let them go back with the 'human' we got them from) worms.. earmites etc and not fully weaned to boot. we took 'em to the vet.. he was a right decent human being.. anywhoo! good bathing and changing the bedding and a healthy wash for mama kitty is good start.

after 9 months

uh.. trying to upload.. skills way way too rusty with graphics
percy (g/f named him on the bottom) and piggy sue (mine) on top they're both lazy lean cats now..) even if pigs still has a game eye, seems to work well enough.. and damn cool colours to boot! one thing, I have had a few cats in my life.. not all that many.. but some.. I have never seen cats so completely comfy.. the only thing they seem to fear are cars and dogs... both of which are fine by me.. although we are planning on getting a dog sooner than later... heh that ought to be fun.
