SHOW LOW, Arizona (CNN) -- The man suspected of starting a massive wildfire that destroyed hundreds of homes and displaced thousands of residents in eastern Arizona is scheduled to make an appearance Sunday before a federal magistrate.

The Arizona Republic newspaper reported that the suspect is a firefighter with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, but CNN had not confirmed that.
With the economic losses of the wildfires in Colorado, Arizona and elsewhere, I wonder if psychological testing of firefighters will have a higher priority in the future to screen out firestarters.

Cool Local wildfire image (bragging enabled)

I was up most of the night taking photos of a local wildfire a couple of nights ago, and one of them was actually used on the front page of one of Utah's bigger newspapers (possibly the biggest in the state), the Salt Lake Tribune. The website included this small version, but the paper version included a big 8x10 version.

Of the 169 photos I took, I didn't think this was the best of the bunch, but it's the one they liked, so I wasn't going to argue with them. I can post more when I get home later if anybody is interested, many are very striking. Thank goodness for a tripod and 10x zoom. I've never had a photo published the the paper before, so to get the front page is pretty exciting for me.

Started a new thread with my other photos, since it isn't a Colorado wildfire...
