Plenty of chicks go through the whole 'men are arseholes I'm going to be a cynical bitch and become a carpet muncher' for a while during tertiary education. It's not like everyone does it, but there's plenty of chicks who go through the whole experimenting stage.

Maybe you went to a really conservative college SD? Or maybe you really were clueless? Who knows. I can only speak from the experiences I've had with college aged students.
