I definitely do not class all Christians with Phelps and his latent homosexuality. I have a number of very reasonable, tolerant Christian friends who seem to actually understand their own dogma, instead of fanatically reinterpreting it for fun and profit.

I just watched Bill Maher's Religulous. Growin up in a deeply-rooted Christian family and region, I found alot of his points/questions reflected my own problems with Christianity/religion in general. He doesn't give you his own explanation for "it all," just pointing out the discrepancies in other explanations. Its probably not a movie for those who're rooted in their beliefs. Its target audience seemed to be people who're already on the anti- or non-religious side. If you're a Christian, don't worry, he doesn't just pick on you.

OC, keep in mind that major cults and organizations like the Westboro baptist church call themselves "true christians" or the "good type of christian." Evil usually doesn't believe its evil.

An article in my local news paper said these haters think America is an immoral country. They say this but yet want to be protected under our constitutional rights while they are protesting at the funerals of our fallen soldiers and West Virginia coal miners. They don't like the price of their freedom they should go somewhere else. They can kiss my royal red American ass and get out of country. If the don't like it, tough. I have freedom of speech too.

That's not a viable solution. By their reckoning, every country on Earth is immoral.

Wait, they are protesting the deaths of COAL MINERS now? WTF?

What is their beef with coal mining? Surely God doesn't hate miners? Or was the Bible revised since I last read it?

No, they are not protesting the death of coal miners, they are cheering the deaths, saying it's punishment for being a bad country.

So if one their own dies, do they cheer that death too? If any of us is guilty by association so would any of them.

They're not guilty because they're out there fighting those evil faggots that have ruined the country.
Plus they're truly good Americans, because they're making money on it too.

Look what he (Phelps) did to Mr. Snyder when he protested his dead sons funeral (soldier):

The court actually ordered Snyder to pay Phelps!

Look at the court findings:

Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church have the absolute right to say what they want when they want to say it.

That said, they are assholes, and are going to be really unpleasantly surprised when they meet their God, who is, IMHO, extremely unlikely to be amused by their protests.

God doesn't hate sinners, he hates sin. He's the final Judge of us all, whether you believe or not. Guys like Phelps are chasing people away from God, and I don't think God will be happy with anyone who does that.

I think a few well placed tactical nukes would solve this issue.
