Urbandictionary is the referee here, and determines that "carb" is correct. "shotgun" in weed terminology refers to (definition #6)

I -uh- have experience in this area. Never heard it called a shotgun. A shotgun is when you put the joint in your mouth 'lit' end first, and blow smoke out through the joint for a waiting friend. Damn people.

That backwards joint in the mouth trick is called a postman's whistle.

Most of the technique has been well covered already, but amongst the warnings, let me add: do not, ever, drink the bong water. Just don't.
