I think this line's mostly filler.

Vampirism seems to increase bisexuality in the True Blood universe - the vamps like blood from anyone, and sharing blood seems to create a sexual connection if the human survives. Other than the vampires, one of the main characters is a gay human.

Hell yeah. Lafayette rocks.

Sundae, you'll love True Blood. It has major camp factor. Doesn't take itself too seriously. Lafayette is the coolest gay man evah! There's a whole lot of sexual tension going on in just the way it should when vampires are around: very non gender specific, they seem a little like Jack in that respect. Even though it doesn't take itself too seriously, it doesn't pull its punches and never stops reaching for something. Very classy show.

And the love story at the centre of it is beautifully done (never without a solid stripe of darkly camp humour though)

Every so often it gets a trifle weird, in a good way. The League would be comfortable with some of it.

Got the first series secondhand (eBay).
Loved it to bits.
Will have to wait for the second series to come down in price (£22.00? used?!)

Funnily enough, Lafayette was not my favourite character.
Tara was.
I recognised her rage and her dysfunctional relationship with her Mother.
And after all, this isn't Wet Palms, or even Queer as Folk - no man-on-man to drool over.

Thanks for the recommendation though - I'm hooked through the cheek!
