I don't think we ever had one bomb threat. The worst I ever remember were occasional fist fights. I'd say those big old farm boys didn't need fancy schmancy weapons, and if they wanted a day off school they'd just go plow something.

We used to get the phoney bomb threats in the late 70's. The guns were left in the parking lot. I heard that the principal asked kids to leave their deer rifles in his office a couple years after I left. I think it was more to prevent them from being stolen along with the stereos in pre-surveillance America.
