Sorry to hear about your mom and the horrible nurses. I hope she gets better soon.

Lucky she's got you Tril. I wouldn't like to tangle with you when you're pissed off. Well, actually I know I don't like it. lol Seriously though, I hope she's ok and it was just very mild with no major lasting effects for the poor old duck.

My thoughts are with you all. xxx

thank you all. You're wonderful friends.

she was actually discharged last night. The doc came 'round and said she could go home. She jumped out of bed and TOOK OUT HER OWN IV ready to bolt. When Dad and I got there to pick her up they said, well, her discharge has been cancelled...so, more wrangling but she DID end up coming home. She's going to have physical therapy at home for gait training as she is very unsteady on her feet but at least her B/P isn't 86/38 like it was earlier. Her heart rate was 43. Pumped a few bags of fluid in her and she's her self again-as much of that 'self' that is left. On the way home she said, "This is monday, isn't it?" and we said, "
No, it's Sunday," and she said, "Oh, it's a holiday then!" and we just let her go on believing it, coz, hey, every day can be a holiday if you want it to be.

Still praying for her speedy recovery....Wait a minute, is she planning on voting for Obama?

Sounds a worrying time for you all. Glad she's on the mend and out of the hospital. *hugs* and yeah, like the others have said: remember to look after you too! :P
