Hoping your energy level turns around soon, monster. That said - take the time you need to heal, time for YOU. Others will manage and can even get stronger and better functioning if they have to rely more on themselves and/or other resources. Your priority is you. That said, I know how frustrating it is not to be able to do things you normally expect to do and enjoy.

Im with Ortho on this one. Time to be really easy on yourself. You have a lot of adjusting to do. Time to let others do for themselves and maybe do for you now sometimes too.

Patience, grasshopper. You hit the reset button and now you've got to cover a lot of ground that you'd already traveled. Rest, nap until rest time, then take it easy for a while to prepare for your pre-rest nap.

It's been two years since my RC surgery and I am really only now back where I started from. And that was only a shoulder thingy, not a brain thingy.

You will make a full recovery. Listen to your docs and all of our advice.

I don't do rest and nap. I try, but I dream about not being able to do things and being sad about it. Night sleep is ok, but short naps just end up being more stressful than restful.

...I think I'll try a little stilton this time.....

Sorry, it's so huge. It's a panel from Dreams of the Rarebit Fiend by Windsor McKay.

Quote:
The strip had no continuity or recurring characters. Instead, it had a recurring theme: a character would have a nightmare or other bizarre dream, usually after eating a Welsh rarebit (a cheese-on-toast dish). The character would awaken from the dream in the last panel, regretting having eaten the rarebit. The dreams often revealed the darker sides of the dreamers' psyches—their phobias, hypocrisies, discomforts, and dark fantasies
