![]() Pancakes are a special breakfast and are to be enjoyed for sure, if part of that enjoyment is to call it an art and build it up into an event, then that's great. But honestly, we're talking about pancakes. Something kids can master after a few tries. You hear that to become an expert at something, you need to practice 10,000 hours at it. I think you can be a pancake master after 10 hours. And if you have a really good teacher and are motivated, after 1 hour. |

I always throw out the first pancake because it sucks, but all the ones after that are good.

Cool now I have a third rejoinder.
"The early bird gets the worm." 1) But the early worm gets eaten. 2) But the second mouse gets the cheese. 3) But the first pancake is a lump.

When I was much smaller/younger, every time we went to Land Between The Lakes we would stop for breakfast at Jerry's (remember Jerry's restaurants?) in Hopkinsville to have blueberry pancakes. I can taste those pancakes today, they were that good. I miss that.

Also, nothing should go into making pancakes other than pan and cake.
