The Social Groups have fallen by the wayside.

It would have been nice to process IOTD subject matter in them; however, that was ruled out in a previous discussion since content can't be transferred between Social Groups and the forums.

Perhaps the Social Groups could be repurposed into a Social Groupings Site Map to make it easier to find related threads and enable one to contrast and compare them by title. That was done on a limited basis here. Other groupings could be done for games, quizzes, words, personal dramas ... etc. It would be much easier than either the Search function or Tags (no standardized notation); but, I don't know if the effort would be justified anymore than providing the current Social Groups was.

I don't think "Social Groups" made it into any other forum software. It truly was a feature that didn't have a calling.
