Always barefoot inside the house. Barefoot outside around the house unless it is pretty darn cold.

Proper. I have fake ones made of sheepskin, and it works, but they have weird plasticy bottoms.

My regular shoes if I'm too lazy to take them off.
Or barefoot. Or, if it's chilly, some leather-soled wool socks. Comfy, plus they're OK to step in kitchen puddles in.
