oooooh! I like that! Less expensive, too. Maybe I could even blame the people who were here before me. "Bamboo! Is that what THAT plant is? Lovely shade of green, isn't it?"

We just got a foot and a half of snow here in Colorado, so I'll have to wait till next week to plant it, though.

How cold does it get where you are? Most bamboo will only take down to 0F. There is one variety that will take -20F and a few that will take -5F. Make sure if you do plant some that you get a variety that can stand your winters. PM me inf you want the names of some bamboo varieties that do well with the cold.

Forgot to mention that Bamboo will take over. We had some at our house in CA and it was worse then a weed. Chop it back and 4 more stocks grow in its place. Just be prepared if you do plant it.

I don't know how deep the roots go, but you could buy a roll of that ground barrier stuff, sink it in the ground and plant the bamboo on the neighbor's side of it.
