Jinx used to say that SUV's are the worst of both worlds. Not fast or fun to drive like a sports car, not as practical as a minivan. ( let's face it, the minivan is ultimate practical car)

Try to take her Gr Cherokee away now though.

I get to drive a lot of different cars, and I have yet to take a minivan for a demo. It's like giving up in the fight to stay young. I know my body will age, but I promised myself that i would stay young mentally.

besides, you look like a dork getting out of a minivan at the wawa.

I drove a stinking minivan for six years, man. Oh, sure, it was practical...I could carry tons of instruments, PA, camping gear, all the toys...but it was also my daily driver, and therefore 'tres uncool. Having a family but not having loads of cash is a bummer, because you can't compromise and buy, say, a minivan and a roadster.

I now have the Explorer, and it is a better manly sort of vehicle, but it has far less hauling capacity and seating, and is therefore much less practical. And it still isn't a roadster.

However, I will challenge any stock roadster to a race anytime...as long as I get to pick the course.

Not in my competition, it isn't...that would make it even up, and probably put me at a disadvantage, which runs contrary to my entire race concept.
