Feel free to PM so we don't take away from the majesty that is this fish.
Jehova is one pronunciation of one descriptive word for the Christian God. Jehovah's witnesses just have a unique way of worshipping the same guy. For example, they believe that only 144000 people will enter heaven, and yet they spend their lives trying to convert more.

That's because although only 144k will be in heaven with God, the rest of the saved will be living large, right here on Earth with Jesus, Second string is better than being sent to the showers.

But now, Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit are one in the same, and when Heaven and Earth reunite sometime way in the future, what will be the difference then between the 144k and rest of us?

*Edit: I'm a lazy ass so i didn't feel like gettin the good ol Bible and quotin stuff. Forgive my sloth.

Nu uh. Does, "Jesus sits on the right hand of God", sound familiar? How about "Holy Trinity"? Not Holy Oneity. At least that's what the JWs were quacking the two years I spent with them, thirty years ago.

Well... It is called the Holy Trinity because there are 3 parts. But its really kinda like an egg. You got the shell, the yolk, and the clear stuff. Together its called egg. Seperate parts are still called egg yet they are sepereate and can do seperate things. ( the parts of the Trinity, not the egg lol)

Its also comperable to Christ. He was all God and all man at the same time. Beats the hell outta me how but he was :P.

FYI, I am speaking from a Presbyterian point of veiw so not all of what I say or you say is going to apply to both religions.

I hear you, Bullitt. I was raised in small town without enough protestants to have a bunch of churches, so they had a federated church. All the denominations threw their crap into the pot and came up with a combination of traditions, hymns, etc.
I was trying to explain the JW position on the 144K, as explained to me back in the day. Of course they were also saying it would happen before now.

I didn't realize the JW's had established a timetable for the end of the world/rapture/coming of the Kingdom, etc.

The Seventh Day Adventists, on the other hand did schedule it.

Twice.

And it didn't happen. Both times.

The folks that still belong are the ones that that remained in what had been an end of the world cult after the world didn't end.

Ya know, I don't see any Christians thrashing on Paganism or atheism around here. I've seen a fair number of Pagans and atheists thrashing on Christianity. What's up with that?
