Unfortunately the Vietnamese diet is composed largely of fish.

Radar will not know what hit him.

Nuoc mam is good stuff! I am very disappointed that we have a lack of Vietnamese restaurants near me. We have a couple Thai, some Korean, and lately some some Japanese, but no Viet.

When I was but a tad, living in Brattleboro VT of all places, our coop's manager was fluent in vietnamese and we stocked a bunch of obscure viet con–diments (heehee) for the equally inexplicable vietnamese/cambodian population there.

It was cross culturally speaking pretty cool. c. 1978

love me some fish sauce

This is true.

That fermented fish sauce stuff is possibly the most foul substance I've ever come across, including raw sewage, PCBs and crude oil.

Radar: that a bit down from nah trang?

Greetings from Vietnam!!

I'm so happy to be with my wife I can't hardly stand it. I am going to visit the consulate tomorrow so I can talk them into giving her a visa...or I may cause an international news story.

Anyway, I'll send you some photos when I can.
