Not just a racial context, but the implication that an individual is immature. Addressed to an adult, it is mildly deragatory. There is also a lot of racial baggage attached to it.

While I do agree that PC can go too far, I also do not appreciate people trying to pretend that slavery and segregation did not exist, or, that enough time has passed that the problem of racial inequality has been solved. It's still a valid issue. Sticking your head in the sand won't make it go away.

Speaking of egregious racists, did anyone else catch that Nation of Islam bigot of a spokesman who appeared on Hannity & Colmes, Nashim Mzinga? What an example of "You've got to be taught; you've got to be carefully taught," as South Pacific put it. That's a boy needs rehab. Less resentment of the Caucasian part of his ancestry would do for a start.

Last week a white Philadelphia Daily News columnist said "For the second straight week, Donovan McNabb played like a white quarterback."

I don't remember a furor erupting.

Let's not forget Faraconvict stating on television that he met with Ray Nagin in Atlanta and being told by Nagin that white racists blew the holes in the levess to flood out black people.

Did he eventually say it was Nagin? Last I heard, it was "reliable sources".

I actually heard the rumor that holes were blasted in the levees deliberately a while before Farakhan (sp? who cares..) made the speech. Apparently some residents heard explosions. An offical said the levees breaking might have sounded like explosions, but I think that was the basis for the rumor.

people take suspected racism to seriously, all those people are scared for their lives theres no way they can all keep there unconcious biasts to themselves. With all the storms and armageddon stuff these days we might as well learn to keep civilized during catastophic situations, HST - "they'll say anything to scare you, dont try to fight it man you'll get strokes ,anurysms, brain bubbles then you'll just wither up and die" - fear and loathing in las vegas
