Yeah. Me too. But it serves a function.

It's a sock that one of the kids outgrew and it's the perfect size to cover the base of one of the wooden posts in the roof top rack I built for our car. Keeps the oak post from scratching the paint on the roof. The foam I used to have on there fell off and got lost.

The rack is pretty ugly, so having a random sock flapping around underneath it as I drive around town is really just the perfect touch.

My wife doesn't like to be seen in the car while the rack is on the roof, so the rack (and the sock) spend virtually all their time in my shop.

reminds me of the story about a guy that pulled into the gas station in this awesome tricked out jeep. monster tires, lift kit, winch, P-51 shark mouth paint job, a kabillion candlepower mounted on the roof (including pointing backwards for the highbeam tailgater), shovel/hi-lift jack, brush bar, roll cage, custom exhaust, custom everything. The license plate read FAT PAT. The station attendant was admiring his rig and noticed the license plate. He said, "Hey, you must be Pat." The guy responded, "Nope, Pat's my wife. The plate just makes sharing my jeep easier... for me."

That's a more interesting story than I was envisioning. I thought you were just going to say you use old socks as cleanup rags. Of course, the counterpoint to that is you need to have power tools hanging off your unused treadmill inside the house. (I'm embarrassed to say we do own a treadmill, and of course it never gets used. But there are never clothes hanging off it!)

I need a trim, big-time, but i'm putting it off til i have more length to work with. I dont have a clue what to do with it. I think i'm going to find a good salon and just walk in and say "surprise me, just do something feminizing with it"

I think you'd look good with a something like i used to have, I wish I could find it for you but it was kinda a bob with side swept bangs. Not super long.

I like the old haircut there! im just not sure my hair is thick enough. It's super-thin. On the other hand, i'm not sure WHAT i can do with it, and if I think I can pull that off i'd love to try it. It's a little bit pixie, a little bit mod, and the long side-swept bangs work much better than a short fringe (for me at least, i bet you could pull off the fringe). It's definitely on my list of maybes if i have any input in the haircut at all!
