The Woodchuck's good. I've a six pack of it in the fridge now. Twil likes their Pear cider too. I recently had some from Angry Orchard, and the Apple Ginger is *excellent*.
I just gave away my last two six packs of cider I made this summer. I have an enormous stack of boxes of bottles and I had seriously misjudged how much cider I had remaining. Answer? One bottle, now gone. Definitely time for another batch, maybe more.

Ibby, I am liking your cheese. However, I don't have the courage to buy that many variety at once. My cholesterol level is already through the roof.

V - they got woodchuck all the way out there? I thought it was mostly hard to find outside vt-ny-ma-nh.
Lola - I got bloodwork done two weeks ago, going back tomorrow for the results... My cholesterol's been high for years and I'm only 21. I bet the doc is gonna chew me out good. But I can't help it! I just... can't get enough cheese!

Beer is huge in Seattle, you haven't heard? One outfit (not a micro brewer), Chuck's Hop Shop is only a five minute walk from my house. If I choose to drive, I can get to Hale's Ales, Redhook, Maritime Pacific, Fremont Brewery, Pyramid Alehouse, Pike Place Brewing, Elysian... Those are ones you might have heard from, all within about a ten to fifteen minute radius (including traffic.)
I didn't attend the Washington Brewers Festival, but it would have been an ocean of awesome. Here's a more exhaustive list of brewers in city and local area.

Thought of you last night, E.
Mum had "the girls" round. They eat at eachother's houses throughout the year - a hardcore of eight, but others can be invited. They met through work (Police) so it has to be arranged around shifts and sometimes someone can't make it because of a crisis. We only had five last night (Mum making six) We started with blinis - smoked salmon and Phile. Then Greek pastries (feta) Main course no cheese. Madge brought a lovely trifle. Sue brought cheese and crackers and grapes which I arranged into a proper cheeseboard (ie took off wrapping and put on a cheeseboard!) Cheese, cheese, cheesecheesecheese. Lovely.
