What if we were in the real world. The fat guy has to be fast enough to pin the thin guy in the first place.....

Even on an 800 lb fat guy, there are less fat areas that are vulnerable...say, his eyes or nostrils or testicles or kneecaps. If the 200 lb guy were not just a couch potato with a beer belly, he could probably do some serious damage if he could stay just out of arm's reach.

He currently weighs 808 pounds with an 88 inch waist can walk is fast.
Do you have anything that says the NFL is interested? I only found 2 links - one that says they are interested only if he can get his weight under a quarter of a ton - http://www3.sympatico.ca/farini/peac...derThighs.html

And one that actually mentions that some of NFL is interested, but there is nothing else: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funn...me/2124194.stm

What else have you found?

Just curious, because I don't think having a 770 pound man would be beneficial. Yea, not many can get past him, but he can't move real fast for real long. He would be out after a couple plays.

There seems to be an assumption that the 200 lb guy is Charles Atlas, and the fat guy is a big bowl of jelly. What is his waist size? How fast can he run a mile? The 100 yd dash?

Even if the big guy is not physically fit, all he needs is a strong grip. If the big guy can hold the little guy, he can punch him. Because of his great mass, the damage done, even at a relatively low punch speed, would be significant. If he can hold the little guy, he may be able to get on top of him. It may not be hard to squirm out from under a 200 lb guy, but 800 lbs is a very different situation. If the big guy has any kind of skill, nobody will get out from under him. As for weak areas, the 200 lb guy has eyes and testicles just like the big guy.

I'm not saying the big guy will always win - I'm saying it depends on the individual big and little guy.

but assuming an average 800 pound person, and a 200-pounder who was "muscular and was fast" as stated in the opening post... theres little contest, the 800-pounder would lose.

well i agree with Spexxvet the big guy would win almost certinly if he has some skill. And any ways Emanuel yarbrough that 800 african american sumo was in wrestling he already beat a 200 pound guy by getting on top of him. The other guy could not get him off plus emanuel yarbrough is actually fast according to most people who wrestle him.

WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT YARBROUGH, we're talking about an average 800-pound dude.

If you has asked "who would win, an 800-pound professional wrestler or a 200-pound guy in average shape?", of COURSE the answer would be the wrestler.
